What is it?
A daily SMS reminder service for groups. Like a book club, but for anything — accountability groups, habit tracking, or just making sure your friends actually follow through on things. No app to install, just texts.
Why did you build it?
Group chats are chaos and reminder apps require everyone to download something. SMS is universal, impossible to ignore, and doesn’t require convincing your Luddite friend to create another account.
Any challenges or tips?
SMS delivery is trickier than you’d think — carrier filtering, rate limits, time zones. TextBelt handles the hard parts, but crafting messages that don’t get flagged as spam required some finesse.
Any plans to monetize or launch?
Running it for a few groups now. SMS costs money at scale, so there might be a small fee eventually, but it’ll stay cheap. The goal is consistency, not profit.
