What is it?
A git-native digital asset manager that doesn’t cost a fortune. Store your brand assets in a GitHub repo, get a nice browsable interface via Netlify. File-over-app philosophy — your assets live in version control where they belong.
Why did you build it?
Real DAM software costs thousands per year and most teams just need a shared folder with a search function. This gives you versioning, access control, and a clean UI without the enterprise sales calls.
Any challenges or tips?
Git isn’t designed for large binary files, so there are practical limits. But for logos, icons, brand assets, and marketing materials? It works beautifully. Don’t try to store your raw video archive in it.
Any plans to monetize or launch?
It’s open source. Deploy your own for the cost of a GitHub repo (free) and Netlify hosting (also free). That’s kind of the point.
